I spent close to an hour with an agent in person giving personal information details in order to open an account the other day. Not only did we get an error message on the agent's computer, seemingly not allowing my application for an account to be submitted, but I was instructed to start the entire process from scratch over the phone. I have had a great experience with RBC and appreciate their excellent customer service. The staff is always professional especially “Peter and Robin” very friendly, and ready to assist with any questions or concerns. Their online and mobile banking services are user-friendly and make managing finances convenient and efficient.
WOW, just the worst, Phone system is the worst i come across. Cant call to get anything done if you don't already have an account! They have no past account records for prior clients. Been there 6 times in 2025 due to their systems putting liens on my property when i don't even bank with them or have anything to do with them. Now i am in the middle of a nightmare due to their incompetence and actions.
Priscilla (manager) is not conversant in varying POA requirements and responsibilities. When trying to transfer money from my father's account of which I am POA, she said a POA is only good for paying someone's bills. Totally ignorant and incompetent. She never stopped to review the POA (on file with the bank) which grants me complete access to all financial instruments, and has done so for several years, without issue. Today, Priscilla was rude, incompetent and dismissive. I will write a formal complaint.
