The young Australian man is extremely incompetent and will lie directly to your face just to get you gone so he doesn’t have to work. RBC credit cards keeps saying my account is locked and I need to take 2x govt ID into the branch. The young man has insisted twice now that my account is not locked and that they cannot call the RBC credit card number to figure out the problem. This is the worst bank and branch I have ever been to. Very bad service and rude staff. So unhelpful, never on time when coming to an appointment. Definitely closing my accounts here.
We’ve had several frustrating experiences at this branch, and unfortunately the service continues to fall short. The staff often come across as dismissive and patronizing. One example — my partner tried to withdraw $3,000 and was told she needed an appointment, which we found surprising. As she was speaking with the teller, the manager walked by and remarked, “We’re not a cash kind of bank,” in a tone that felt condescending and unprofessional. Have been into the branch 2x now in Whistler and had 6x phone calls with RBC to try and set up my partner and I’s accounts. Have been told I need to go in store a 3rd time. Would not recommend
