Corporate thieves undercover. Cash was stolen from my safety deposit box at the Whistler branch. Currency counter short $200. Had to ask the cashier to put the cash through the machine again, in order to get to the correct amount. After hours atm short 100$ when depositing money. Direct investing platform not updating, stock prices innacurate and balance only shows up days later. Look after yourself, your transactions, and take photos/videos.
We wanted to get a better bank that the one we had, and this was the worse experience ever. Waste of time, energy and even money. CIBC was so much better and responsible people at the branch. In Whistler RBC branch, the young guy that pretends to use an accent like a "business man", gave us the wrong card number (it was someone else card), very confusing information all the time. Literally the worst banking experience I’ve ever had. After just moving to Canada, I’ve already had three major issues with this bank all involving the most basic things like receiving my pay and doing standard transfers. Every time I call, no one has any idea what’s going on or how to fix anything. I’ve spoken to multiple people and still can’t get help with the simplest issues. It’s honestly not worth the stress. The young Australian man is extremely incompetent and will lie directly to your face just to get you gone so he doesn’t have to work. RBC credit cards keeps saying my account is locked and I need to take 2x govt ID into the branch. The young man has insisted twice now that my account is not locked and that they cannot call the RBC credit card number to figure out the problem.
