I signed up for RBC beginning of June with financial advisor, Mark. Unfortunately, Mark provided me with incorrect information which has delayed payroll for me for two months. He doesn’t follow up and doesn’t reply to emails. Mark has also not clarified other bank fees and charges in my account - I was under the impression RBC was a low cost banking option but it actually costs the same as TD! I have 2 different business accounts with RBC, Today I went to close one of the accounts that hadn’t been in use for the last 1.5 months with a balance of $0, and the lady at the counter gave me a hard time. My main branch is down on highland and I was told that I could take this paper to any branch with no extra fees. Slowest service I have ever seen at any branch. Be ready to wait at least half an hour for your turn.
I gave the teller a $100 bill stuck together when making a deposit and she counted the money without me looking and said it was the right amount. I went back 20 minutes later and protested that I had given the teller another $100 and said I could see it on the video, but the teller refused to show me the video and ordered and shouted me "get out of here".
