I called them and booked an appointment to open a bank account. I made it clear to them from the beginning that I am here only on a tourist Visa and asked in advance what would be the requirements and I was adviced that passport and birth certificate is enough. When I arrived at the branch, the person I was talking to was very nice and respectful but I was informed that they will not be able to open a bank account for me because I need to have a Nova Scotia ID. What a waste of time and resources.

I am brand new to this bank. Recently dropped from TD as their locations are way to far from me and their banking fees were almost double what the are at Royal. Now I can make deposits and with draws much easier for my business. I am very happy that I switched over to Royal Bank.

I appreciate my local RBC branch. There’s wonderful, helpful tellers like Anas Shahoud and all the others that go above and beyond their main tasks. This last time I needed a letter stating that my account was closed and Anas took the time to write it for me and enclose all the details and proof. He did not need to do this for me. Coming here feels like a community bank even though it’s the RBC.

This place can’t even keep their hours up-to-date, not sure if you should trust them with your money.
