Little do they want us to know about how they fund an unprecedented climate chaos, violate Indigenous rights and destroy the very foundations of our futures. Living on a burning planet is inconvenient - and not even your youth-targeted ads can distract from that. RBC OFF CAMPUS, because we don't need a greenwashed company pretending that they care about us, our education or our future!
RBC preys on students with greenwashed, youth-focused marketing campaigns because acquiring customers early increases their likelihood of staying with the bank long-term. Meanwhile, their investments in fossil fuels ($262 billion since 2016) and in the Coastal GasLink Pipeline in particular (which is going against the consent of the Wet'suwet'en people who are facing police violence while their land is being actively destroyed by the pipeline) are taking away our futures.
