Established in 1957. Opened in April of 1957, Ray's Western Wear and Saddlery is one of Chamberlain's oldest businesses. Raymond D. Steckelberg purchased a men's clothing store on Main Street in downtown Chamberlain, South Dakota and sold horse tack in the basement. Ray kept the tack in the basement of the store until 1970 when the store and focus of the business was remodeled.
