WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER The problem with the earlier review is that the person talks only of the purchase. It is a nice looking store with good quality furniture. The sales people are decent enough, etc, etc. BUT as soon as you need customer service after they have your money, FORGET ABOUT IT. They are the RUDEST and LEAST HELPFUL people on the planet! Excellent service & expertise At Raymour & Flanigan - your experience is what you make of it. Some people don't like the way they greet you right away and offer to follow you around to assist you. We don't mind that at all - it helps us find what we want and make up our minds quickly to not waste time. Why walk around looking at stuff we don't know any pertinant info about? But, if you'd prefer to look around at your leisure - just tell them you want to browse independantly - and they leave you alone. It's that simple! Great... read more
Top Quality Furniture My husband and I had finished our basement and purchased the furniture for it from Raymour & Flanigan. Nothing but the best in quality. Raymour also stands by their product. We had a minor issue with one of the pieces, where the kids had ripped out one of the seams. A Raymour & Flanigan representative had visited the house and repaired the chair to perfection.
Poor Customer Service/follow up We purchased items 3 times and 2 times, the experience was a living nightmare. The first time, we purchased a sofa, chair and entertainment center. The furniture was not stained protected (showed a water spill) and it took us charging them back via our credit card to have it corrected. The second time, the delivery people dropped my sons bedroom set after I told them they were carrying it incorrectly. Took 3 visits and numerous contacts to get corrected. Good selection of furniture We recently purchased a bedroom suite and leather sofa from Raymour & Flanigan and were pleased with the service and the quality of the furniture. There is a great selection there, in a wide array of prices, and the staff is almost overly helpful. They clearly work on commission and can be a little bit ruthless, so don't let them talk you into something you don't want (like some of their financing options). Overall, a good experience.
Backorders and incomplete setup and delivery. Purchased a Dining room table set with 8 chairs and matching side bar. The original side bar broke in transit, so they ordered another and when they brought that one the dropped it off and still left all the plastic wrap and packing on it. When I went to unpack it and set it up which is what they should have done for the delivery and setup fee I found pieces missing and was unable to install the shelving. Great warranties on their furniture... Yes, Raymour has put smaller furniture chains out of business, but there's a reason. They have a pretty good selection of furniture at relatively good prices. And they'll haggle a little with you as well. I've purchased two Berkline sofas in the past 2-3 years....they were each about $869, and the 5-year warranty was less than $70. Sales person, Joe Amico, gives this store a very bad reputation Do not let Joe Amico be your sales person. He is very rude and acts like all customers are an annoyance. Such a bad attitude for someone who is trying to have people purchase furniture from him. He gives this store suve a bad name. I hope all of the sales people there aren't this bad.
