Went on one of the Saturday morning bird walks. It was a beautiful preserve with very friendly and knowledgeable guides. Our guide Clare was awesome!
We had an absolutely amazing time at the Audubon Center! The trails were easy to find and travel, our 18m old (and we) loved the Discovery Center and we hope to return when we can tour the house too.
We had the chance to visit the Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary—what a gem! We spotted several new birds for us, including pinyon jay, pygmy nuthatch, Clark’s nutcracker, broad-tailed hummingbird, Williamson’s sapsucker, and both Cassin’s and plumbeous vireo. Such a treat! It has a very different feel from the Tucson canyons. Take the loop trail to stay in the preserve or take a great hike that begins just past the Audubon preserve, (signs posted).
