They like to lock the doors around 20 minutes before 9 pm, which, if you’ve ever been to a liquor store around that time, is the busiest time. It’s as dumb of a move, business-wise, as closing a restaurant between 6 and 7 pm. Whoever owns this place is easily losing $500+ a night by keeping their current staff employed. This place is awful. I came in to pick up something quick. I go to the counter to check out and stare at the young woman behind the counter, waiting for her to stop scrolling on her phone and do her job. Eventually, she looks up and asks me to hold on while she keeps scrolling. Then, as she was checking me out, she started making disgusting snorting noises like she was about to dry heave or throw up. She was definitely on something. Our neighborhood can do better.
