We rented 4 vehicles and we had a flat tire on the beach just a few hours later. Despite the fact that we paid for the most expensive insurance, they still charged us almost $400... Be careful to have cables or a starter with you in case of battery failure because the cars are not equipped with them.
We did indeed get a flat tyre, which we had to pay for. The issue isn’t so much the payment itself, but rather the lack of clarity around this point. We took out the insurance to have peace of mind, assuming it would cover this kind of incident. The rental company took special care to show us how to access the spare tyre, which suggests that punctures are a common occurrence. Great car, great island and great experience. I could not fault our car hire with these guys.
Renting the 4WD from Merve was a fantastic decision! After a minor accident, he was immediately available and quickly sent his friendly and helpful mechanic Dave to assist us. Thanks to their great support, we were able to continue our Fraser Island trip without any problems. Highly recommended!
We got not only a good car, but also a very useful lesson on sand driving and advices for visiting the island delivered with humour - thank you Merv!
