I was in here for about 3 weeks during November/December of last year and very quickly put back on the medication I needed. Staff never failed to check on me to see if I was okay and would always wake me up for breakfast or let me know when lunch and dinner was. I was offered to come off the ward and play a game of Table Tennis in the main hall by staff which I enjoyed but preferred it on the ward. Staff were very nice and good at always updating me on what was happening next. Maybe too nice though, I've never been offered so much to drink in my life, which became annoying. Really needed the reassurance they gave me, was scary being 136'd.

Ultra caring, helpful nursing staff - I’ve not experienced such a beautiful team for decades until being in this unit. Would have been a healing experience if the trauma-informed care actually reached the psychiatrists. The consultant is dismissive, doesn’t engage in trauma-informed care, and is actually really horrible in manner and decision-making, leaving out the opinion of the most important person in the room ie the patient.
