Today my child and went in to spend 2 vouchers that were gifted to me. I walked in and said goodmorning and proceeded to quietly and respectfully browse with my daughter. I found two things of interest and asked the shop owner that it was okay that i purchase them with my gift vouchers ( as the items were over the value of the voucher i had money to pay ontop of that ). The sign out the front promoting “RJs Racks of Joy” was deeply misleading. The woman in the shop was awful, cold and unpleasant and muttering snide remarks under her breath. She told me that I wasn’t going to buy anything anyway. Since we were so clearly unwelcome, I said that we’d leave and she said that yes, we should get out. Could not believe that someone would be so nasty for no reason.
This was the most horrid experience. Walked in with all intention of buying some winter jumpers and the shoes looked promising too. My husband said a polite Good Morning as we walked in and was met with a mumbled "Hardly". Then the sales attendant walked up to me and said "Can I help you?" I said we were just browsing for the moment, thank you. "ohhh yes just browsing" quite rudely. I was pretty annoyed and said I was leaving, my husband said "Thank you" and she yelled "whatever".
