Negative start, negative finish! Do not recommend even if that’s the choice Staff is unresponsive. Nursing staff does not follow Doctors recommendations or Orders. Staff is unprofessional and argues out loud in-front of everyone. Even after reaching out to supervisors and head nurse nothing has changed. Now in result of not getting the care needed in doctors orders and recs our loved one, family member has been hospitalized for the 3rd time! Absolutely unacceptable! The staff is wonderful, friendly and kind. The food is usually good. The therapy given is very good. The staffing can be low on occasion, but the staff compensates as best they can with a very good attitude. I recommend “the quarters at Des Peres” if you need rehab or nursing care.
My father was supposed to do 2 weeks of skilled rehab here. We cut it down to a week due to him not getting great assistance with bathroom breaks which is dangerous to his health. This concern was brought up to the staff but didn’t seem to take us very seriously. Impossible to get ahold of. If a resident needs help in the middle of the night, good luck getting ahold of anyone. The email for their HQ never responded to me either. They tried to tell my mom and I that he has dementia. I think that’s just an easy excuse for us t... read more
The facility is a very nice place for my Mom. The staff is always kind and understanding of my Moms condition. I enjoy my visits because the atmosphere is always pleasant and welcoming.
