About this business
The Quadra Bike School offers a professional bicycle mechanic's training programme. Four students at a time live and learn on Quadra Island for five weeks. They also have time to explore Quadra's great trails, some of which can be reached from our own Animal Farm Trail. I began the first version of this course in Toronto with funding from the Bicycle Trade Association of Canada. That course still continues at the Learning Enrichment Foundation. While camping my son broke his rear derailleur on his bike and he was really disappointed. Brought his bike in and thanks to Smokey, he was riding two hours later. Super impressed with the service and his knowledge. When picking it up he even told us how to best maintain it. Thank you so much!
First time customer and I am blown away by the knowledge and kindness Smokey gave me today. Recently I had a bad experience with Swicked Cycles in Campbell River so I decided to get on the ferry and bring my bike to Smokey’s repair shop and training school. He had my bike fixed the same day and hardly charged me anything at all. Smokey's bike shop is a hidden gem. Super helpful, explains any issues they found and is super fair pricing. Well stocked for a small island shop. It's hard to find a shop I like, but this is a great place to bring your steed

Smokey was super friendly and knowledgeable. My othhalf and I haven't ridden in years and this place was perfect. There was a nice bike trail entrance right off this property.
