The nerdiest yarn store I have ever been in and I love it! Wonderful selection with a lot of locally produced including unique products by Purls. Lots to choose from while still well organized and not overcrowded. Super friendly, a welcoming and comfortable shop. Found them by chance and glad I did.
Great local yarn shop with so many natural selections compared to retail chain craft stores in town. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They had a free period pantry in front which is pretty great. I will be returning for all my yarn needs!
I heard that Purl's Yarn Emporium was filling online orders shortly after Helene, so I placed an order from my home halfway across the country to support them. I ordered some LOVELY locally-produced llama/wool blend that shipped within just a couple days (even with all of the damage and recovery work underway)! The yarn arrived in good time and in excellent condition, I am VERY happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone.
We try to stop by a local yarn shop whenever we travel. There's a whole lot of yarn made and or dyed in North Carolina on offer - buy local right? If you live in the area, you'll be encouraged to know there was a lovely knitting group gathered while we were shopping. If you're looking for a friendly, inclusive place to be a yarn nerd, consider this a safe space to be yourself.
I loved the way this shop was set up and that the local and small batch yarns were well labeled. It helped me find yarns that I might have otherwise missed. There was a really cool display of yarn related pins by the register with some punny themes. I picked up a tote that was locally designed also. Great shop!
