My experience has been very positive. The site is simple and easy. Going to a branch was a pleasant experience. The bankers in my area routinely reach out 2-3 times a year just to check on my satisfaction. It's a nice hybrid, but not a primary bank (no cash at branches, no atm, no checking accounts, don't think they do wires). I recommended them to friends. We opened two CDs initially at the Skokie office. The reps were extremely helpful and subsequently opened two additional CDs the following month.

STAY AWAY! Went in to this bank trying to open 2 CD's. They only take pictures of checks. You can not make a real deposit. They also demand that you come to the bank in person. Their cameras did not work. They suggested that we simply mail the checks to the bank. They do not offer deposit slips. They wanted us to "just trust" that they will post the checks to the correct accounts. This bank smells like a bad deal to me. This is not a place you want to ever do business with. Very easy to open an account... all electronic no paper..... I am Old school, but PP financial is FDIC insured... I posted at their office, received immediate confirmation. I do not see any problem...... Never worked like this before but have no reason to think they are not totally legitimate.. They pay 1.9%. 10 times my big bank, my commercial bank....for unrestricted deposits.. what more to say....
