I have lived in the Mentor area since 1984 and have been in the store numerous times and bought a number of pieces of furniture over the years. I can't imagine what Pepper and Shopper #12 are talking about. I have never been treated poorly or without respect by the owner or the staff; just the opposite. Is she sure she was in Pummels.
I have dealt with Pummels for 23 years, and bought numerous pieces of furniture there. I have always found the employees to be more than helpful.I had a problem with a piece and Sandy even came out to my home to look at it. Im sorry the previous shopper had a bad experience, but I can tell you that is not the norm. A store that has been in business for 50 years speaks for itself.
I stopped in the store to find a rather unique piece. On recommendations from previous sales persons at other furniture locations in the area I gave it a shot. Wow what a shock. I was treated so inappropriately. I was completely insulted by the sales person and by the owner after calling to explain the situation. To sum things up if you are not dressed to impress don't bother you will leave wondering what happened to common human courtesy.
