If anyone is looking for a place for a family member, I do not recommend Oaks Scenic View Baldwin, GA. My older brother had a massive stroke in July 2014. He was doing well and better than most expected, had long stays in several different hospitals. The doctors finally said he needed less medical and more rehabilitation. It states on websites that the do restrain patients that need it for their safety and if a family member or doctors advise the patient does need restraints! Our family was very unhappy with the treatment our family member received while at Unihealth Brookhaven. I ended up calling the corporate office and alerting them to the situation there after I was treated very rudely by a staff member answering the phone. I also could not believe how unresponsive the staff was to the residents using the call button. My mom was a resident here for approx 6 months. She had a stroke and couldn't communicate. While she was here she was over medicated and fell several times. Each time i had to demand xrays. She constantly yelled and I could not figure out why. Of course it got on the staffs nerves so they left her in bed several days- over the weekend. During those several days she dislocated her hip and no one could seem to tell me how it happened. Long story short, she was taken to the hopital where she had emergency surgery.
