As a first-time visitor to Boston, I think it was worth it to go see the view. Our day was pretty clear and you get views in every direction. There's a lot of places to lounge up there and just take in the sites. The day we went the bar was closed but I imagine grabbing a drink up there would be fun and leisurely. The Little museum and gift shop are pretty cute and add to the experience. Overall, I would definitely include this as a place to visit for a first timer in Boston.
