I absolutely adore Protea Zero Waste. My ONLY complaint is that it's in Kailua and I live in town. Honestly that's probably for the best or else I would be there way more frequently combing the racks as they are always getting cute new thrifted pieces in and that would be hard on my wallet. I've shopped there and done Buy Backs and was honestly shocked to see any negative reviews about the process. The ladies that work there are SO friendly and the owner was up front the entire process. Unimpressed by the buy back offer by the store. $10 for Abercrombie jeans, $5-$8 for dresses and tops all in good condition. Total to be given as store credit or lose 50% and get it as cash. Seems unrealistic and you would actually be better off just donating items to goodwill or savers. At least then you know it’s for a better cause than lining the pockets of someone with questionable business practices.
