I been having a checking account at Prosperity bank in Madisonville for a few years and haven't had a problem until now! For the past 2 months I will pay a few bills with my debit card and the bank will take the money out for my bills I have paid with my card and then the next day put the money back into my account like I never paid some of the bills! I helped my son open his account because he is disabled. Because he is disabled I wanted him to have the overdraft protection so that he couldn't just keep using his card if he didn't have any money. Explained this VERY clearly to the lady that was helping us because it was very very important that he wasn't able to use his card after his money was gone. So she set us up or so I thought. We usually go to a Prosperity branch in another town, but happened to be in Madisonville today. It is a nice, spacious location and everybody we encountered was very friendly. I have not had any problems with Prosperity, so not understanding all these negative reviews.
Terrible bank. Stay far away from this joke of a place.
