After my partner enrolled in Progress House Men's Recovery House in Coloma, CA, I was shocked to discover their misleading policies and practices. Despite advertising as a men-only recovery program, their staff is predominantly female, leading to uncomfortable and potentially damaging situations for residents and their partners. If it wasnt for the brothers in the house. I would give this place 0 stars. Glad I decided to get and stay sober before being court ordered here. Had next to no help from the counselors. Not that they were bad counselors. They just take on too many clients to help any one person. And accept people that dont want to program or even want to be/stay sober.

This place is amazing, the area's beautiful and far away from any distractions. The program is a little week and focuses around the NA and AA step work, which is fine but if that's all your learning you'll have a hard time with doing a full 90 days. The staff is very nice and genuinely care about you. Only thing is that there is a lack of staff and the counselors that were there were greatly overwhelmed with work and don't think were able to give the attention to each person that they needed.
