Today I had the pleasure of experiencing the hospitality of David Yates, the current proprietor of Prince Albert vineyard in Waurn Ponds Geelong. People with knowledge into the history of the Australian wine industry will know that Waurn Ponds was synonymous with Victoria’s earliest forays into wine production (1857) and is a celebrated region for growing Pinot Noir.
