I had an excellent experience with South Grove lodge in Austin Mn. Our 95 year old mother moved into assisted living when her eye sight and health was declining. Excellent staff. All the staff!! I have never seen a place treat a mother with such love and respect like one of their own family. From the time she arrived until the time she passed away. They were there. I have a family member who just became a resident in August and I have been so pleased with the staff, the food, the prices, and the care they give. We even brought a bunny to the facility for a petting bunny love day. They do so many activities for the residents to keep them active and happy. Even theor safety procedures they practice fire drills and the like. If I end up needing this kind of care, I know this is where I will go. This is our second family member to choose to stay at South Grove Lodge.
My Mom moved to South Grove Lodge Senior Living in February of this year, and she absolutely loves it there. Mom had given up driving a few years ago and was starting to feel the effects of living alone and being housebound. Having meals with others at SGL has added dimension and happiness to her daily life. In addition she is enjoying many of the scheduled activities and social gatherings such as Mahjong, bingo, ice cream socials, and happy hour at the pub.
