I can't say enough wonderful things about Presbyterian Village Austell! From the moment you step onto the beautifully maintained campus, you can feel the welcoming atmosphere. The gardens are stunning, and the common areas are both inviting and thoughtfully designed. But what truly makes this place special are the amazing residents. I have lived here for nearly two years and I know without doubt that it was one of the best decisions of my life to move to my home here at Presbyterian Village. I live in a lovely, 3-bedroom ranch-style house on a cul de sac at the end of a beautiful, tree lined street. I'm within two minutes of all of the activities, but also a world away in my neighborhood. I'm surrounded by lovely neighbors who were so gracious and friendly to me when I arrived. It has been one year since my mom moved into memory care at Hearthstone. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE that my mom encounters treats her like a family member. Even though she has dementia and it appears that it is progressing, the kindness is not lost on her. Yesterday we were walking upstairs and the man gathering trash greeted her with a spirited "Hello, Mama!" She responded with a hug and happy smile. He said she enjoys his singing. I can't imagine her living anywhere else!
At the end of April I moved my mom to Hearthstone, the memory care unit at Presbyterian Village. Our experience (hers and mine) has been wonderful. We love the staff and she enjoys walking in the beautiful, secure garden area and talking to the finches that reside in the unit. I am thankful every day for PV!
