Gastric sleeve should not be done outpatient. I ended up in the hospital shortly after discharge with a leak. Dr. Curry's sidekick told me that "hematomas happen." My lungs filled up. I had a diaphramic hematoma, which can be life threatening. I got a GI infection. It took 6 years of puking and malnutrition to get a surgeon to do a revsion- gastric bypass. I started going to Dr. Golas in January and had my surgery this July. Dr. Golas and all his staff are wonderful and super supportive! My surgery went amazing and I follow all the great advice they give you along the journey. I have had Zero post-op issues. I feel lucky to have them all to help me on my journey.
