I hate doing this but Tamara will not answer my calls not answer my texts won’t keep appointments won’t give me my taxes. I reluctantly give one star- the system would not allow me to give zero stars. I do not recommend this business . Our 2023 tax returns were prepared by Preferred Business Services. Found out later that there was a mistake with some information submitted and we were told by the State of NC that our NC return was never submitted. I spoke with Preferred Business Services in June to inquire why we hadn’t received our return ( before I knew it hadn’t been submitted), was told they would look into in and get back with me. I don't like making bad reviews but with lies and broken promises from Tamara. I had tax issues last year payed her to take care of my issues got her all the paperwork she asked for. Long story short irs contracted me multiple time I even put them in touch with her and she would say everything is handled. Well things didn't get handled it cost me 3000.00 plus dollars. I went approximately April 14th to get taxes done. Personal and business taxes They were completed quickly. However, we had a previous year tax situation. Tamara was suppose to start contacting the IRS that evening. Four weeks later, nothing has been done. We’ve had to get a lawyer involved but are stuck because she will not return our calls to give our paperwork back. I had heard other people with the same issues but took a chance anyway. I wish I had not taken the chance.
T. Dodson is pleasant in person but has extremely bad communication and possibly time management skills. Ghosting clients until it’s convenient to respond is unprofessional. I gave one star bc she was nice when I met her face to face.
