I am a collegiate cross country and track runner that was dealing with an injury that prevented me from running without extreme pain. Dr. Ryan Kalkbrenner was able to help properly tend to my injury with stretching and strengthening to rebuild and leave better than I started. Throughout the process the main goal was to get back to what is important to me which is running and that's exactly what I was able to do.
I came to Dr. Kalkbrenner with significant pain that affected almost every aspect of my daily life. Simple tasks like turning or bending over were uncomfortable, sitting for extended periods was painful, and I couldn’t run without discomfort. When I started with Dr. Ryan I had been dealing with sharp pain in my low back, glute and hip areas for several years. I originally thought it was my SI joint and tried wearing a support belt to help it but that didn’t work.
