The repair itself seemed ok, price-wise I am not sure how competitive it was because I didn't shop around. My main gripe is the communication and the limited opening hours. Shakeel seemed nice enough but oh boy trying to chase an update was painful. Additionally, I was given an estimate at the start but was told only after the work had been done that the estimate was just for the replacement part and not the labor which made the total payable considerably higher. Extremely disappointed with the service and lack of accountability. I dropped off my Canon EOS R8 with the original battery door safely stored inside the grip's dedicated storage slot. When I picked it up after two weeks, the battery door was missing, leaving the camera completely unable to power on. Instead of looking for the part or offering a solution, the technician made up excuses and refused to re-check the bench. Unprofessional handling of customer property—go elsewhere for repairs.
Fantastic service! Shakeel did an amazing job bringing my Olympus OM-10 back to life. He is knowledgeable, efficient, and great to deal with. Excellent place for vintage film camera repairs. 10/10 recommend!
I dropped my camera in over a month ago for a repair and a service. I chased up weekly and was given promises of communication and a timely repair. I'm happy to wait, but please keep me in the loop, so I know what I'm waiting for. It was repaired and serviced as promised, but the frustration lies in the length of wait and lack of communication. The job itself was well done.
