I have been using the PowerWincher for a year now on my 72 foot Ketch NewInvestigator. Cannot recommend highly enough as it has turned my 14 winches into electric winches. Just purchased power wincher, have used to get up the mast, easy to use, great product , looking forward to using it soon on sailing trips on Plan Four
Brilliant unit. I had the old model and now bought the new model, it has ample torque and trims my sheets on a hanse 430 well. the shape is better than using a drill with an adaptor and works more efficiently. Service and response from manufacturer is very prompt as well. A passionate inventor and electrical engineer. The product is great and always upgraded and new ideas added. Im told a remote control system is in the works which would be amazing.
Just bought one of these and taken it out for a good thrashing. I have tried one Anderson built in electric winch (frighteningly expensive) and most other types and brands of battery operated power tools. Powerwincher is easily the best of the lot. Has massive torque and enough controls to adjust its operation to whatever you want it to do. I am 70+ and have a 46’ sailing cat with a big heavy cruising mainsail, which it hauled up easily.
