We did an online order for an engraved item which arrived damaged. We came to the store to see if we could arrange for the replacement and the manager Brian gave us an attitude about not ordering from the store itself and for choosing to do so online. Then, he proceeded to incorrectly do the exchange since it has been over 12 days with no item. Pottery Barn’s checkout process is a total bait-and-switch. As a first-time customer, I selected PayPal, and instead of a review page, the site triggered a "one-click" purchase that instantly pulled my home address without allowing me to confirm or change it to my daughter’s address for a gift I was sending her and my granddaughter. I called customer service IMMEDIATELY to fix the error and was provided with misinformation by a representative who assured me the address was updated.
