I would rent again with Portsmouth Paddle Co. If you don't have your own equipment, they make everything very easy -- they bring the paddleboards to the water, they'll give you a refresher course (if needed), a map and a suggestion of some fun and beautiful places to paddle. They were really friendly and very responsive to my questions when I was making the reservation. I highly recommend them!
I had a wonderful set of two private lesson classes with Amy. I’m 65 and never paddleboard before. The first lesson I fell three times before standing up. The second time I only fell once before standing up. Today, my friend and I booked a nature tour with Amy and I didn’t fall once. Amy has my highest recommendation and is very thorough and explains what one is doing wrong. She’s very patient too. It’s nice a lesson includes all equipment needed so it’s a seamless experience. I’m thrilled to have learned a new sport!
We did a Mini & Me paddle board session this past summer, and it was such a wonderful experience! My 4-year-old absolutely loved it, he’s still asking when we can go again. Our guide, Alexandra, was fantastic. She gave clear, detailed directions in a fun, kid-led way that made the whole session enjoyable and easy to follow. The location was perfect for little ones and first-timers, calm and welcoming. I highly recommend this experience and can’t wait to do it again!

We had such a wonderful experience with Portsmouth Paddle Co! Our instructor was awesome—friendly, knowledgeable, and gave each of us personalized tips to help us improve during our private lesson. The view was absolutely beautiful, and we all had so much fun. Can’t wait to try paddle boarding again!
