Sunday afternoon on 12 October 2025. store assistant attempting to demean and insult my mother and me after more than twenty years of my mum being a favorite customer in words of another Portmans store assistant. You are a straight up bully, trying to belittle frail 82 year old with a walker! Just had a very frustrating‼️ experience at this store. The Lady with short black hair we had helping us wasn't helpful at all, very poor attitude towards not only us but other customers at the store. The way she treated both me and my mother was so bad, I left without buying anything at all‼️ even though I had full intentions on buying a full suit. As it stands now I definitely WON'T be coming back.
I have never once left a review except I felt obligated to after having multiple negative experiences at this particular store. The service I have received is nothing more than lazy and below par. They are reluctant to go downstairs to check for stock unless you are certain on buying. Which I find ridiculous as how will I know I want to buy the item if I don't have my own size to try on. Walked past today and heard an older lady being VERY rude and crass towards her employeee in front of the whole store, I don’t usually leave reviews but I thought it was absolutely disgusting behaviour to treat an employee the way she was treating this poor young lady. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. This lady should be fired for this behaviour because if I was her manager I’d be ashamed I’ve hired someone so incapable of being kind to the employees.
There’s a lovely girl named Fifa (not sure if I’m spelling her name right), but she was absolutely amazing at helping me choose an outfit for my job interview. She’s incredibly kind and really went above and beyond to assist me. I truly appreciate her support!
