I've flown in and out of PWM quite a bit - usually I have a great experience. However last Sunday, I flew in and had 2 checked bags. My husband pulled up outside and put his flashers on to quickly run inside to help me with gathering my bags from the belt, given I'm 8 MONTHS pregnant. In that time, a cop gave him a ticket. I called the number on the ticket, explaining the situation and that I'm very pregnant/can't lift the bags, and they would not do anything to reverse the ticket. This airport is horrible! Due to limited baggage atorage capcity, airlines won’t let you check luggage until shortly before departure, so if you arrive or are deopped earlier, your stuck waiting in a lobby area with only bench seating and no lounges, retaurants or even a stand to get coffee. Airport needs to add facilities before TSA and allow early bag check for folks who are dropped off a while before flight departure (as our cruise line, American Cruise Line did to a bunch of disembarking pasangers)
Need more ground crew to accommodate planes from sitting on the tarmac for extended periods of time.
