The bikes are in awful shape and really poorly maintained. Two bikes I Tried to rent would not unlock their rear wheel. The third one I did finally rent, but the shifting did not work at all. A really poor example of a bike sharing program.

Do not use. Bikes are in poor condition, app is barely usable. Charged me extra many months after trying the service. All around putrid experience

Listen, I’m a huge fan of public bikes, but whatever company is running the bike share in Portland is an absolute joke. My wife and I were visiting from out of town (without a car) and tried to rent 2 bikes at 5 different stations today. We were unable to do so at any of them. The stations all had at least two bikes, but NONE of them worked. We must have tried at least 12 different bikes before giving up. The unlocking is super flaky and takes 30 min, charging you while you fiddle with their mediocre bikes. Their "support" doesn't pick up the phone.
