I attended the HVAC program at Porter and Chester in Chicopee and unfortunately had a very negative experience. I was dismissed from the program due to what was labeled “aggressive behavior.” In reality, I expressed my concerns and stood up for myself during a disagreement. Rather than handling the situation professionally, I felt the administration escalated it instead of resolving it. Went here years ago, and spent $35,000.00+, combined with wasting so much valuable time in their horrific IT program based upon false promises and no true education. Had to buy all their required books, materials, etc., to have NEVER even opened a book, had homework, etc. This is not a true institution of higher education, and instead, is one of these Branford Hall, DeVry, etc., types of for-profit institutions. I graduated from this facility 13 years ago in automotive tech. They did not help me find a job!! Porter and Chester as a company become a for-profit agency owned my venture capitalists and will pass anyone their their program as long that the student shows up! PLEASE if you are going to take this program look around and see what other options their are! BEWARE
