They'll find any excuse to charge you for things. They constantly are rasing prices and trying to find new ways to penalized you "like if you work out of the city you live in you get charged.... it just feels like a greed-filled department. I'd absolutely look into the city taxes before moving to port huron if i were you. I know I wish I did.

Claimed I haven't paid taxes for 4 months (comes out of my paychecks) I moved they garnished me for about 3 months. 2 years later I'm still paying their city tax with my payroll and they are sueing me for the money I didn't owe even back then again same amount. Women I spoke to was an absolute POS needs to take classes on how to speak to people or straight up lose her job at no point in the call was I rude or bitter to her nothing I did warranted the way she spoke to me.

Having to pay a city tax to live in this terrible place really sucked. We worked hard to sell our house and move after we found out about this tax. We live in another state now, finally. What a joke.. Port Huron declined so bad in the last decade. Move far away if you can.. we are so happy now that we did!
