My father and I have been customers of Popular Bank for many years. We recently opened up a checking account. In October, we lost every dime in this account due to fraud. The amount was $13,000 and it was allowed to happen due to a breach in this bank's security. I had in my possession a debit card that had not yet been activated. Over the course of several days, someone went to an ATM with an obviously fraudulent card and withdrew every cent. They withdrew the money in increments of $1,000 a day. Very nice people working @ Pitkin Ave branch. On check day I was in & out. Sad to know this branch will close down in Jan,2026 Blessings to all.
