Great Food!
So so so delicious! Big menu, friendly helpful people, primo tea with an actual Japanese water boiler. no line somehow, when the other Cafe had a wait line to get on the list to wait for a table.
I wish I had pictures. . . Stopped here hoping to find some type of pastry for my mom. Ordered 2 guava puffs and 2 mango puffs. My mom took one bite and.."so flaky, moist, perfect amount of filling" then gave me a bite of each..omg!! We ate it all. After her dr appointment, we went right back and ordered more and ate those before we got to her house which is a 5 minute drive from Popover...
My husband and I shared: - Turkey, Cranberry, and Cream Cheese Popover Sandwich - Pastrami Popover Sandwich - Ube Donut - Lilikoi Butter Mochi Both sandwiches were fantastic. I love popovers and it's such a great idea to turn them into a sandwich. I think I had a slight preference for the turkey one, but you can't go wrong with either. The desserts were a little disappointing. The donut was dry and the butter mochi was just ok. If you're in Hilo, come here for lunch!
