I really can't praise Poplars enough. Mum was with them for 2 years with Alzheimer's. Poplars isn't a new building but this care home is all about the staff. Mum had her own en-suite room which we were able to personalize with her own furniture, pictures and things precious to her so it felt like her own home. Alzheimer's patients can be difficult and this was certainly true of my mum but everyone without exception was kind and patient with her. We feel most fortunate that our family member is now a resident in such a kindly, caring and well run care facility. Dementia is a cruel illness that places a huge burden on families. Just knowing that your loved one is well taken care of is a huge relief and for that person to be happy is of paramount importance. A big Thank You to all the dedicated staff at Poplars.
