Unpleasant – Overprized, oh-so-poor-quality, semi-fashionable in a "Jersey Shore" kind of way clothing. Arrogant and non-accommodating sales people, who make you wonder if they even want to make money... Never will shop here.

DO NOT SHOP AT POOKIE AND SEBASTIAN! – I have never ever done anything like this before, but I am truly bothered by what happened to me the other day. I went to Pookie & Sebastian and bought a dress. There were two labels in the dress, a Pookie & Sebastian pink label and a blue label with the dress materials listed. FABULOUS!!! – Wow! What an incredible store!!!!! Several years ago I brought a pair of Blue Cult Jeans and have gotten several compliments ever since. This past weekend when I was in the city I brought a pair of Seven's and a cute tank top. The staff who work there are VERY HELPFUL and it's like shopping with your best friend. Clothing Marked up by 800%; Exact same 9.99 tops from Strawberry sell for $80 at Pookie – I am dissappointed with Pookie and Sebastian. Time after time I have gone to Strawberry or other small cheap discount places and see the exact same merchandise for $10-$20 that Pookie sells for $80 or $100. Case in point, I tried on a dress at this cheap place Dejon by wall street. The dress was $35. The same dress is hanging in Pookie's window right now (on 8/21/06) for $128. Love, Love, Love this store – I love the clothes here, it's a small store but good variety. There is also an outlet store I believe it's either 2nd or 3rd ave where everything is cheap. I found an awesome skirt for $6. There can be some pricy clothes but not over the top. It's a very cute spot. Plus I have never had any problems with the employees there. Every time I've gone the girls have been very sweet and helpful.
clothes you could buy at forever 21 – I think that the customer service at Pookie is AMAZING, the girls are friendly and honestly give great advice on whether an outfit looks good or not, this is esp. good when shopping w/o friends. However, the clothes are the same ones that are at joyce leslie, forever 21, and strawberrys. I saw a poncho there that was over 100 and found it at a local store on broadway for 25.
