Great brownies This place is very close to where I work and it is a favorite of all the women when they NEED chocolate. My favorite is their double chocolate chip brownies that are made on site. They cost about $2 each (by weight) but are worth every penny. You wouldn't suspect it, but this place also sells coffee for pretty cheap to go with their baked goods. Not a bad place to stop by in the morning before work either.
Gourmet Bakery for your pet If you love to spoil your dog, Polka Dog Bakery is definitely the place for you to visit. It is filled with home made treats and organic foods. They also sell a ton of products (from collars to beds). It's a fun experience for your dog and in a great part of the South End. The prices are high and if your dog has a sensitive stomach it might not be the best for him/her. However, I definitely recommend taking your pet there for the experience!
Treats for Fido The Polka Dog Bakery is something that could only be made popular in the South End of Boston. A bake shop for dogs? Who would have thought that was a good idea. But the Polka Dog Bakery bakes up all sorts of appetizing looking cookies, cupcakes, and doggy treats--- all without salt or sugar so they are safe for Fido. The bake shop is a great experience and you are encouraged to bring your "best friend" right into the store. Treats run at about $5 a pop so do not come cheap. But isn't your dog worth it?
Healthy gourmet treats for your dog The Polka Dog Bakery has some amazing goodies for your dog, big or small. Everything is made with your dog's health in mind and they have some wonderful looking treats. My terrier loved the Treatza Pizza. They also sell adorable apparel and pet beds. The only thing I would mention is the price, but you get what you pay for. If you want to spoil your dog, this is the place to go. PROS: Amazing treats for your dog CONS: Expensive
