Seniors are left uncared for and staff are rarely encouraging with any engaging activities. The nurses here are mostly friendly, there are some though-- specifically nurse Ben-- who will not acknowledge your presence and have a bad attitude everytime you're in the proximity. My mom was placed at PGPH six months ago on an interim basis until a bed opens up in one of her preferred care homes closer to where I live in Port Coquitlam. She is so fortunate to have been placed at PGPH. It's a beautiful, clean facility and the staff are really good with her and communicative with me. For example, whenever there is a new medication order for mom or a new treatment need identified I get a phone call. Family, safe, organized, comfortable, active. When residents have a health issue no matter how small or big it is staff contact us ASAP. The way everyone is socializing most of the time. It helps to keep residents alert and communicating. The staff are amazing with the residents ALL the time and it makes residents feel like they are part of a big family.
