The bank tellers are the absolute worst and SUPER unfriendly. Especially one of them was being homophobic to me and my friend cause she thought we were a gay couple

Received a check from my grandmother for my birthday. Her account is with PNC. She lives in a retirement community and has quite a bit of money since Grandad passed away. Anyway, I went to PNC in Bel Air today to cash the birthday check. I was told that since I did not have an account there, I would have to pay 2.5% to cash the check. I said that my grandmother is 91 years old and has probably a huge balance in her checking account. Perhaps the teller could check the account to be sure her $100 check would clear. Can't get answers to routine questions online, and can't reach people on the phone. It is VERY difficult to do business with PNC bank as a whole. The online services like pinacle don't work or are very difficult to navigate, and they are unnecessarily complex and confusing and wastes a lot time. Then you need to spend hours or even days on the phone trying to get answers or get online issues resolved. I would not recommend PNC for business banking at all.
