Dissatisfied Customer I chose National City as my bank and also my lender for my mortgage. They messed up horribly and ended up costing me $3000 more in costs to close my house - and didn't bother to tell me till a couple of days before. Great bank with good perks! We just opened up an account with National City this week. They offered us 50.00 to start an account and 50.00 once we set up direct deposit. We were able to sign up for a Work Perks account which gives us free checking, free checks, and some other various perks. The person we met with was friendly and helpful.
