Not the best bank in town I opened this checking account years ago because it was a "totally free" checking account (meaning that the checks were free, too). Since then the bank has started charging for the checks. As soon as I have used up all of my checks I plan to close out the account. I have managed to overdraw this account at least twice because they always manage to post withdrawals before deposits, even when both were done on the same day (and the deposits BEFORE the withdrawals). Not the way I want to do my banking.
Loyalty to the town, but not to the customer! Bank of Hanover has been in Hanover PA for over 100 years, they do support many community activities. However, as far as the greatest place to take your money for banking, Bank of Hanover falls below average on service times, with checks taking longer than average to post to your account, and cash taking sometimes DAYS to post to your account.
