So I went to PLS here in Durham, North Carolina. First time I went in to get money order I was told they only take cash for money orders. So, I went and pulled the money out, returned to the business ( if you can call it that) and with around 8 people behind the glass there was only one window open and serving people. I had a wait, not too bad, then I get to window and asked for money order. Was then told they needed my phone number. Don't cash your check here they took over 100 dollars from me to cash a 2000 check want be coming back! I know now! They're not going to tell you the fees upfront and on the receipt it just say fees it doesn't tell you what the fees are for
