This facility has a troubling record of neglect and poor care. It appears to be operated by a single individual who fails to meet even the most basic standards of resident care. Residents are not regularly bathed and are confined to a cramped room with malfunctioning beds that lack proper linens. They spend their days sitting idle, with little attention or engagement, in an environment that feels more like a holding area than a place of care. 지난 10여년 은혜 양로원(Pleasant Valley Rest Home)을 지켜보고 일해온 바, 토론토 한인 사회에서 꼭 필요한 Retire home 노인 복지 시설이라 여깁니다. 은혜 양로원은 RHRA에 등록된 리타이어 홈 라이센스를 가지고 캐나다 정부와 기관의 관리 감독을 받으며 한국 말과 한국 음식, 한국 문화로 서비스 하는 Retire home의 역할을 하고 있습니다. 더불어 Nursing home에 가야 하지만 갈 수 없는 상황의 어르신들을 모시며 가족처럼 돌보아 드리고 있답니다. 일반 Nursing Home은 정부에서 보조가 나오므로 비용이 들지 않지만 대기 시간이 길어서 필요하신 분들이 바로 이용할 수 없는데 은혜 양로원은 가족들과 상황을 조율해서 필요를 충족시킬 수 있도록 최대한 노력하고 있습니다. 더불어 일반 Nursing home이나 Retire home에서 제공하지 못하는 한국어 서비스, 한국 음식과 문화 등을 함께할 수 있어 더 없이 좋습니다. 물론 시설과 여건의 한계가 있지만 가성비로는 서비스 비용이 높은 일반... read more

I thank Pleasant Valley Rest Home for all the wonderful care it had given to my mother over five years. She was very happy living in the facility, and it was always comforting for me to know how well she was being looked after. Staffs were well trained and provided good care even when my mother was sick due to diabetic complications. Although the facility was not nursing care, the staff coordinated and communicated well with hospitals and my family. I could trust them more than other nursing homes I knew.
