The avalable. clothes there
They do not give refunds even on cash payments, would NEVER shop at this store! I don’t want my store credit I want my money so why would I want to come back.
I've brought in items several times with little luck, unfortunately I moved to Polk county and wanted to give it another chance... I'm so glad I did! I brought in 3 large containers and although they're were fairly busy the gals were friendly and polite, even helped me get them in and out of my car. I realize my clothing was older styles but they did accept quite a bit, I'm so grateful. Keep up the good work and stay kind, it's the most important part of retail.
Business response:
Thanks for the 5 star review Edith! The Plato's Closet team works hard to deliver excellent customer service every time and we're glad you recognize and applaud that! See you next time!
This place is awful don’t even
Don't let the poor reviews be a reflection of Plato's Closet. Plato's Closet is a great place to take clothes you longer need/want and get at least something out of them. At least for myself personally, cleaning out my closet and getting rid of old clothes was always done with a feeling of regret. Now it's not as bad because I know I can take them to Plato's and get a decent amount of cash. You can find decent deals on name-brand clothing too. If you ever need an outfit or new clothes I would highly recommend stopping by Pla... read more
I want to start by saying I love Platoes Closet and have been to many different locations in north and South Carolina. This particular store in Asheville is the worst I have ever been to. The selection of clothes/shoes/purses is very limited. I also want to state out of the 5 articles of clothing I picked up, 3 of them smelled so terribly of body odor. I even told one of the employees a particular dress smelled of BO and she laughed and put it back on the rack! This store has disappointed me one too many times.
Business response:
Hi Logan, I'm sorry some of the items you found at the store weren't fresh- smelling. My buyers are instructed to check for that when buying in items because we don't wash the clothing before it goes on our racks. We do however store items that don't go directly onto the floor in clean bins with dryer sheets to prevent smells from happening while stored.
You better check your twit arse staff.... they walk around or stand at the counter giggling at ppl shopping.. making fun of them, and pointing at them!! Go look at your group photo of employees, and the one with the hat on backwards, is thee rudest, snobby little girl you could've ever hired!!! She's gonna be one of the reasons you Get sued!! watched her make fun of someone and try to get her butter cup friends next to her, you join in.. and one did!!! Nasty hearts, lose YOU business!! One person she made fun of, was overwei... read more
Business response:
Hi Brie Karr, It always hurts us when we hear a customer didn't get the respect they deserve. The employee you are referring to is a valued individual who has consistently upheld the professional standards I require of all my employees. Sorry she didn't demonstrate that the day you were in the store.
Horrible! The grab bag sale was horrible. They gave you a jewelry bag (that’s how small it was) it could hardly fit two pairs of pants. The old owners use to give you ingles size bags. The new owners I guess are cheap and want you to spend more money with the small bags. The employees must not understand you have to take off the ink tags! Got home and both pairs of pants still have ink tags on them. Now I have to go back to have them removed! Wish the old owners were still there.
Business response:
Hi Lorinda, The bag is a standard size (12 X 14") bag that other Plato's Closet stores use for the $15.00 Grab Bag event. Some stores use a slightly larger bag and charge $20. We wanted our customers to have the lower price point. Sorry we missed the sensors on the items you bought. Please bring them in with the receipt and we'll gladly take the sensors off.
