In 1998, on the corner of 28th and Barlow, I laid clutching a fresh bullet wound put there by the Gambini crime family. 1911 in one hand, labubu in the other. I thought I would make this corner my tomb until, like the prodigal son returning, ZPEREZ emerged tourniquet in hand and saved my life. Every month I come here and get a straw hat to thank her. Only four stars because they are a bit sticky
